Free childcare and education for 2 year olds
570 hours of free early education per year (equating to 15 hours over 38 weeks per year over the three academic terms or 11 hours per week over the full year) are available for those children who are eligible.
A child will be eligible for two year old funding the term after their second birthday.
The following dates show which term your child will be eligible for Free Early Education Entitlement:

Free childcare and education for 3 to 4-year-olds
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England receive 570 hours of free early education or childcare per year. This equals 15 hours over 38 weeks per year over the three terms or alternatively, 11 hours per week over the full year.
The following dates show which term your child will be eligible for Free Early Education Entitlement.

30 hours free childcare and education
Eligible working families are able to access an additional 15 hours of free childcare for their 3 or 4 year old child, in addition to the current 15 hours of universal free early learning entitlement. Extended entitlement is also referred to as the additional 15 hours, or 30 hours.
The following dates show which term your child will be eligible for 30 hours Free Early Education Entitlement.
The date you can start claiming depends on your child’s birthday.

Tax-Free Childcare is a government scheme to help working parents with the cost of childcare. We are pleased to inform you that Balfour Nursery is part of the Tax – Free Childcare scheme.
